Emily Joyce Hannah was born and raised in Virginia Beach and is a lifelong Virginia resident. She received her B.S. in Speech Communication, with a concentration in Public Relations from Radford University. After graduating from college she worked for Oracle Corporation for a few years alongside the VP of East Coast Operations located in Northern Virginia. In October of 2003, she moved back to Virginia Beach to work and grow her family business, Alpha Corporate Designs, Inc. She currently holds the title of Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
Emily is responsible for developing new business as well as maintaining existing clients. She provides complete design and furnishings for commercial spaces from floors to ceilings. Her specialty is in office and hospitality spaces. She works with clients all across the United States. She enjoys working on a project from pre-construction to completion. She attributes her knowledge and success to her mentor and father Richard Joyce.
Emily’s commitment to the CREW organization is apparent by her dedication to the membership committee. She has been a member of the committee throughout her seven- year CREW membership and has never missed a meeting in 2013. This year, she worked closely with the committee chair to produce the membership directory, a time and labor intensive task. Also, Emily spearheaded the flawless Membership Madness Event held at the Mermaid Winery. The event was so successful that it brought in the largest attendance to date. Emily has displayed extraordinary leadership skills throughout her time with CREW and she will undoubtedly be a great fit as the 2014 chair of the Membership Committee.
In addition to her work and CREW commitments, Emily also works with her husband in a local Hallmark store that they own as well as providing property management for a multiuse building that they own and rehabbed in Downtown Norfolk. She supports and is involved with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society- Hampton Roads Chapter, The Graves Disease and Thyroid Foundation, and is active in her community and church. Emily resides in Norfolk with her husband, Trey and two sweet little girls, Olivia and Lorelei.
